One hour of floating creates A RESET OF YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM.

A nervous system under constant stress? One hour of floating creates a nervous system reset.

A study with patients shows that floating recalibrates a nervous system that functions under a chronic state of anxiety and stress. Patients were chosen who could no longer leave their homes because of post-traumatic fears or who were unable to work because of stress.

Three years of preparation were required to develop a method of measuring EEG brain waves in floating. Furthermore, an EKG (electrocardiogram) was taken during the float to measure the activity of the heart. Blood pressure was measured and blood samples were taken.

The study measured the difference between watching BBC Earth for one hour, which is considered very relaxing, and one hour of floating. After one week, the patients switched between BBC Earth and floating.

The result proved to be doubly positive. On the one hand, the state of relaxation and peace of mind increased, and on the other hand muscle tension and anxiety decreased. And this difference was significantly more in floating than in watching the programme.

So while anxiety symptoms diminished, a huge improvement in mood was observed at the same time. This is an important one: the effect of mental disorders decreases and at the same time the effect of mental well-being increases.

The research showed that floating is an extremely simplified and effective form of relaxation with a strong reducing effect on anxiety. Muscle tension in particular is reduced the most.
