Float Away Anxiety - Excerpt 14
Basketball champion Stephen Curry floats not only to relax but also to bring his performance to perfection.
Think of an exciting moment in your life where your heart is pounding in your throat and where you ultimately fail when you let it get in your way. One of those situations where your adrenaline is pumping.
It comes down to a second. Everything is on the limit, everyone is watching you, people are running under you and you have to focus to execute something with extreme precision.
This is just what Stephen Curry does particularly well in a game. Another thing he does is float regularly. He does that not only to relax but also to be able to keep his cool completely in those extreme situations.
And that works extremely well. He scores above average and they win championship after championship since they started floating. A rundown of his accomplishments:
- Five-time NBA All-Star
- NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2015 and 2016
- Champion NBA with Golden State Warriors in 2015, 2017 and 2018
- Won gold with the U.S. basketball team at the 2010 and 2014 World Championships
